In the mid-1960s, I started shooting with a Kodak Instamatic. In the early 1970's, I "borrowed" my father's Canonet rangefinder. By the late 1970's, I had saved my summer earnings and purchased a Canon A-1, which got me through high school yearbook and college. In the early 1980's, on Active Duty in the USMC, I carried an Olympus XA (it fit perfectly in my 1st Aid pouch) and at 2nd Reconnaissance Bn, a Nikonos IV (underwater film camera). In the early-1990's, I used Christine's Nikon FM-100 to capture our growing family's special moments. Later, when Alex took a high school film class, I added a Nikon F5 to our collection. At some point, Christine brought me into the digital age, with a Nikon Coolpix 990. That morphed into a Nikon D-70, D-200, D-700, D-750, D-850 and now a Z-9. I capture Landscape, Wildlife, Sports, Events, Portraits and Commercial photographs and videos.
